Hi there. The idea is to find out what’s causing the cysts and my guess would be that it’s your hormones. Do you have any other symptoms such as: overweight issues, excess hair (hirsuitism), irregular periods? If so you could have PCOS, hyperandrogenism, or a few other conditions related to hormones. I would suggest seeing your doctor and asking him/her to do blood test to check your testosterone levels (androgens). I have hyperandrogenism and have read cases of women who have it and are being treated for their acne.
Some of the medications, if this is the case, are: Sprinolactone (aldactone), Metformin, flutadmide… Depending on if the testosterone is to blame for the acne, these medications will block it and therefore, reduce your acne.
BTW, I wouldn’t suggest the towel thing. For now, I would suggest keeping your face clean with a non-perfume antibacterial soap such as Dial, using benzoyle, and an oil-free moisturizer.
